Pricing and Insurance
Pricing:-
We pride ourselves on providing an excellent service with very reasonable fees. We discuss the options with you and give you an estimate of the cost. If, during treatment, it is obvious that costs are likely to differ significantly from the estimate we will contact you.
Payment for all treatment is due in full at the time of consultation, or on collection of in-patients or medications. For your convenience we do accept all major credit & debit cards. We do not offer credit facilities. At present we cannot offer pet-aid and we are not currently a PDSA practice.
Bridgnorth Veterinary Insurance Terms & Conditions
We strongly believe pet insurance is valuable to you and your pet and we would recommend every pet is insured to the highest level possible with a lifetime policy.
It is really important to find the right policy as early as possible that you will stick with for your pet’s lifetime to prevent unwanted exclusions. Anything that is on your pets notes will be deemed a pre-existing condition unless the pet is insured at the time they are seen. If you are unsure about your insurance policy or have any questions regarding insurance please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff.
Unlike many Veterinary Practices we don’t charge an admin fee for making claims as we believe insurance is extremely important.
Direct claims
We are happy to make direct claims with most Insurance companies, however we would strongly encourage you to contact reception to check if your insurance company is one we do direct claims with. If it is not one that we do direct claims with then we would ask you as the owner to settle the invoice in full and we can claim the amount back from the insurance company.
· If your pet is insured by a company we do direct claims with , we are happy to complete this on your behalf. Please ensure that you have completed our insurance information form before making a claim. We require a signed claim form EVERY VISIT- unless otherwise directed by us.
· Whilst we are happy to make a direct claim on your behalf, if your claim has not been settled within 4-6 weeks of being submitted you will be asked to contact your insurance company to find out if any further information is required. If the claim has then not been settled within 8 weeks of the claim being made you will be asked to pay the amount outstanding in full.
· If the insurance company only settle part of a claim for some reason, we will write to you to ask you to pay the outstanding amount as soon as possible. If you have a query about your deduction we ask that you settle your account with us and take the matter up with your insurance company.
· It is the responsibility of you as the policy holder to ensure that the treatment your animal receives is fully covered by your policy. Whilst we are happy to make claims on your behalf, ultimately the responsibility of payment of any account is with you as the client. Insurance companies often offer pre authorisation if you are concerned, and we will be happy to help you with this.
· It is your responsibility to keep us up to date with your insurance policy details, exclusions and excesses.
Excess
· We will ask for payment of your excess on your first claim
. Any percentage excesses or co-payment excess will be made on settlement of the claim. We will write to you at this point informing you of the outstanding. We would require this payment to be made within 14 days.
